With growing attention to epidemic control, but also concerns about the challenges of ending AIDS as a public health threat, this press conference will highlight a new, comparative analysis that looks across six locations that each have successfully driven down new HIV infections and HIV mortality: London, Malawi, Rakai, San Francisco, Sydney, and Thailand. The analysis identifies the elements that contributed to success and provides a roadmap for accelerated progress for the future, combining priorities for programme, policy, and rapid scaling of new interventions.
